The complete system consists of 4 units, namely; bottom plenum box, top plenum box, fresh air inlet and heater/blower. Also included is 3m of air hosing for connection. When correctly installed, these units work together to supply heated or unheated air provided by the heater/blower to the two plenum boxes, using fresh air from the inlet.

The bottom plenum box, or foot box as it is also known, has two individually adjustable outlets, allowing the operator to adjust airflow on both axis’, or to stop airflow entirely should this be required. The unit requires no connection other than an air-pipe to the heater/blower to the two plenum boxes, using fresh air from the inlet.

The top plenum box is mounted on the dashboard of the coach, in such a manner that its 3 top outlets face the windscreen and the bottom 3 outlets the operator. The outlets are individually adjustable to lower or lift the beam of airflow through a specific outlet. This allows the unit to demist the windscreen when required, while at the same time providing heat to the cabin. The outlets are spaced evenly over the length of the unit, allowing the unit to spread the airflow more evenly

The fresh air inlet is mounted on the side of the vehicle, and draws in fresh air from the outside of the vehicle. The air passes through a filter before it is drawn into the heater/blower unit to be heated and spread to the plenum boxes. The filter is mounted so as to be easily replaceable, and the vents are designed to prevent water from entering the system and clogging or dirtying the filter.

The heater/blower is the main unit of the system. It is the only unit that requires a power connection, making installation easier and more cost-efficient. It houses the fan that enhances the airflow of the system, the 2 elements for heating the air as well as the built-in protection systems. A selector switch (usually mounted in the control panel) can be wired to the unit to allow one of the following settings to be selected; off, high fan, low heat, high heat. The high fan setting switches on the fan only, supplying only cold air to the plenum boxes. The low heat function switches on the fan as well as one of the elements, the high heat function will switch on an additional element, providing the plenum boxes with heated air

The 7E Heater is a 100Vac 1500W heater. It has 5 switching positions; off, low fan, high fan, low heat, high heat. The heat is generated by 4 x 375W elements. All these elements have thermal cut-out switches on them for safety precautions.
